WEEKLY TERM CLASSES
The team at Little Art Big Art are big on sharing art skills to all ages, but we also know it is important to create a happy, fun filled and safe environment.
Our art rule is;
'There are no mistakes in Art,
just changes!'
© Rachael Morris
So at the core of each class is encouraging a fun loving attitude to art where we embrace our motto:
IMAGINE CREATE CELEBRATE
to help enhance each artist's own unique style of creating in a nurturing environment.
WHAT DO WE TEACH?
At Little Art Big Art, we explore a wide variety of visual and fine arts, including handicrafts and textile artworks, for all ages starting from 1 year old. Unlike other art studios, we focus on teaching process art and embracing the interests the children bring to classes.
Our classes offer a diverse range of art processes and techniques inspired by various themes, artists, and styles. Artists can enjoy learning about drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery making, textiles, tie dye, mosaics, alcohol ink, fluid art and much, much more. We provide opportunities to engage in traditional art forms, allowing artists to discover and develop their own creative styles.
WHAT IS PROCESSED ART?
Process art emphasises understanding and learning how to use materials and tools while enjoying the creative journey, rather than focusing on the final product. With qualified teacher and highly skilled artist Rachael Morris leading her team, our classes nurture a love for the "process" of art making, rather than striving for perfection in the artwork. This approach allows artists to practice the process in their own time, fine-tuning their skills and applying them to other aspects of learning.

Tips For Settling InRegular routines and faces are key factors in establishing trust with our little ones. Each child adapts differently to a new environment. From my knowledge as a teacher, a parent myself, and feedback from parents, it generally takes 3-4 weeks for a toodler and our younger primary aged children to settle in. It is best not to force your younger child to participate. Discuss what will happen, meet and greet the teacher/s and let them know the situation. For our under 5's, sit behind them or with them and be part of the creating process. For our older students in our drop off programs, please get in touch via email as we Child Health and Safety Guidelines we must adhere to.
-
Family DiscountIf you have two or more budding artists, please get in touch for the family discount. Some programs may be excluded from discounts.
-
Parent AttendanceEach program will outline if a parental attendance is required. Most school aged programs are drop off. All artists attending the TINY ARTISTS Programs must be accompanied by a parent/carer.

What is Processed Art?Processed Art is about the actual making and creating journey that takes place. It is not focused on the end product. Through learning about the process, students become skilled fine artists. Take a closer look at OUR VISION and why we stand by it.

Do I have to stay? Can I stay?PRIMARY SCHOOL - HIGH SCHOOL - KINDER ART WORKSHOPS All classes are strictly drop-off only due to child safety laws, unless it is stated that ADULTS WELCOME TO JOIN. This means adults are welcome to participate in the workshop too with their child/ren. Adults are charged at student prices. Again, adults can only stay where it is stipulated on the Timetable and all adults need to pay too. If you need to stay for some reason for a workshop that does not state ADULTS WELCOME TO JOIN, you must get in contact with Rachael to discuss as there are child safety laws we must follow. UNDER 5 YEARS (TINY ARTISTS) A parent or guardian MUST accompany any child/ren booked in for our Tiny Artist program. Your child may like to create independently or with you so your active involvement may be required. Enjoy creating side by side!!
